AN URGENT HARARE SPCA APPEAL
The Harare SPCA is a Private Voluntary Organization. The cost of running the hospital and the kennels in 2015 was approximately $30 000 per month. Management worked on a very tight budget and relied hugely on benefactors to keep the doors of the Society open. The Harare SPCA has now run out of funds and the number of animals in desperate need of help is rising alarmingly. Many of the pet owners bringing dogs in for treatment cannot afford to pay but they are never turned away. The animals will not be left to suffer. Surrenders are always taken in . The HSPCA must continue to offer assistance to members of the public who cannot afford to treat or keep their animals. There are plans for future fundraisers but these will take some time to organize. In the meantime the HSPCA urgently needs help.
